John Crowley is Senior Regulatory & Compliance Counsel for Stewart Title Guaranty Company. In this role, he provides legal expertise on regulatory issues, industry advocacy, contract management, risk control, compliance, and other legal matters. Before assuming his current position at Stewart Title, John served as Claims Counsel and later as New Jersey State Counsel and Associate Senior Underwriting Counsel. John also served as the Director of Stewart's Continuing Education School for New Jersey, where he was responsible for developing and presenting Continuing Education (CE) and Continuing Legal Education (CLE) courses for several states. He is also the immediate Past President of the New Jersey Land Title Association.


Prior to joining Stewart, John was an associate at a law firm in Boston specializing in residential and commercial real estate transactions. In that role, he resolved complex title issues, negotiated purchase and sale agreements, and worked closely with real estate agents and clients to navigate a variety of challenges.


John holds a Bachelor’s degree from Florida State University and a Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School. He is licensed to practice law in Massachusetts, New York, and New Jersey.

Mark Bauwin is the FinCEN Operations Director for Stewart’s FINCEN Reporting Services (FRS), where he oversees the operational framework that supports title and closing professionals in meeting new Anti-Money Laundering reporting requirements. His work focuses on ensuring accurate data collection, secure communication, and timely report submission across a wide range of real estate transactions.


Mark’s background spans many aspects of title and escrow operations, reflecting a career built from hands-on industry experience. This perspective guides his approach to developing practical, operationally sound compliance processes within FRS.


He participated in preparing the platform for launch and helping customers understand finalized reporting requirements, contributing to the broader industry transition to updated compliance standards.


Mark is a graduate of Washington & Jefferson College and is based in the Greater Pittsburgh region
